The 8’ grounded counterpoise wire should be run in the direction you would like your signal to launch. The 25’ horizontal wire should then be run in the opposite direction.Step 4 – Push the stake on the 25’ horizontal wire and the 8’ ground wire and into the ground.Step 5 – Screw the Vertical Element onto the top bolt on the match then fully extend it.Step 6 – Attach your coax from your tuner to the SO-239 on the match.* NOTE – When not in use or when winds are greater than 50MPH then the vertical element should be retracted.Optional TripodThe optionally available steel tripod has been tested for at least 2 years of continuous outdoor use, in non-saltwater environments. Our two-year outdoor test of this tripod revealed that it was still structurally sound and only showed signs of fading with some surface rust.
