I love the compact size. Protected_User_edb0a9a1 Verified owner January 31, 2026 100 Watt Portable VHF UHF HF MagLoopVerified review - view original“wow” What more can i say about the Alpha mag loop antenna, “it works”. I live in a 2nd floor appt…no balcony/no trees i can throw a wire into with out been notice and something said….””also a sheet metal structure on one side 20ft away and an airport down the street, i have a 60ft EFHW dipole around the wall inside the Apartment , lots of noise, talking (out) most time dont work using the dipole. I heard much about loop ant….earlier in a different Apartment had a different named loop ant, it was lost in a move–hihi, did not get to use it much..This time around, i learn of the Alpha Loops, so i tryed the UHF/VHF/HF 100W mag loop, ” yes I pushed 50 to100W gets a little warm …It works..” (On HF SSB)_Mag Loop i heard stations the dipole was not hearing,(on the loop the stations i could hear, heard me.. 5X3,5X5 sometimes on a good day 5X9) this was a plus…..” UHF/VHF (repeaters) solid…. FT-8 we know works….THE ANTENNA”… Tuning the mag loop as you have heard is a little touchy, but the more you do it, it becomes easier and quick, as you change frequencies, you may need to re-tune, i have tune 1.1 SWRs most 1.5. USE a SWR meter, it will help you…On the Alpha Antenna page check out the videos, read the tuning info.. Moving / turning the antenna around in the Apartment, made a different, near a window is better.__ NOTE: I Am Not Disappointed with the Alpha Mag Loop,…( i can talk and hear, Band Conditions Will Apply ) setup is easy, again tuning is a little touchy, but the more you do it, it becomes easier, and quick. Company Service.. is (spot on) they are there for you, they will respond back and to work things out….. So i now use the Alpha Mag Loop more then the dipole…..Apartment Operaters try the mag loop….You Will Not Be Disappointed…de KD5CEV Protected_User_abedc5de Verified owner December 23, 2025 100 Watt Portable VHF UHF HF MagLoopVerified review - view originalSteven your generosity and quality gear is unsurpassed. Received the antenna today and even though no one seems about on the air, it’s obviously working to spec as I am able to use the antenna and tune as required Thank you so much. Quality gear Protected_User_8d68ffb1 Verified owner December 19, 2025 100 Watt Portable VHF UHF HF MagLoopVerified review - view originalHello, First of all I must admit that The Alpha antenna service is great! for the antenna review, I test it once, and it work and tune verry fine. the stability, is reasonable and i think that the coax that came from thr inner loop, need some hold. I did not test the antenna with full power yet, But compar to othet loop that I see on the market, I thing that a thicker material (like thus coax cable), Will rise the antenna efficiency. ALL THE ANTENNA MATERIALS ARE FROM GOOD QUALITY.
